The Frontend conference I spoke at last year is hosting again this year in Oslo, Norway between October 10-12thFrontend 2011 (@frontend_conf). Unfortunately, I won’t be attending this year. However, I have a free conference pass to giveaway. To enter the contest, all you have to do is write a comment about your thoughts on the event in this blog post. The contest ends on August 19th, 2011. Then a random winner will be drawn from the comment list.

How to enter?

  • One entry per person. Duplicate comments will be voided.
  • Comment entries will be accepted until August 19, 2011.
  • One winner will be picked randomly. The winner will receive a conference ticket from the event organizer (Frontend 2011).

I’ve been looking into this conference for awhile and would love to attend. Great speakers and topics, should be a blast. Like what they’ve done with the website as well. Fingers crossed!

Id love to go, but the location and price may deter me, however…. a free ticket may change all that ;)

This looks like a second-to-none chance to experience some great speakers and learn very on-target topics.

I’m hoping to go to the AEA conference in October, so this would be a great addition to that!

I’d like to be there :P

Aug 5, 2011 at 12:13 pm

Give this highly desired ticket to me, and I’ll promise to go there the environmental way – by bike!;)

Aug 5, 2011 at 12:24 pm

I live in Denmark close to Oslo, and would like to go to the Frontend 2011 conference. I am teaching a Frontend programming program at Business Academy Lillebaelt.

Aug 5, 2011 at 1:43 pm

I would love to go! I can’t afford both the ticket and travel costs.. But with a free ticket I would go w/0 question.

Aug 5, 2011 at 2:23 pm

A front-end conference in Scandinavian.. I’ve been looking for that, then you post it! Since I started as web-developer on my education I would like to go for a conference, the pity is often the ticket price and the travel costs. So here I would be able to get the chance meeting other developers and designers! And hear all those amazing speakers!

I live in Denmark by the way and would be very pleased to get to that conf!

Aug 5, 2011 at 2:28 pm

as a new freelance designer I would love to attend and gain more knowledge as well as hear what others have to say, especially in different parts of the world.

Aug 5, 2011 at 2:53 pm

Oslo is not far away!

Aug 5, 2011 at 3:35 pm

Aug 5, 2011 at 6:29 pm

I’d love to go. Will give me a chance to brush up on my skills. I’m pretty sure I can convince my boss to send me to Oslo :)

Aug 5, 2011 at 10:31 pm

I had heard of the Frontend 2011 Conference, but being a frontend developer, it sounds like a perfect job for me.

Aug 5, 2011 at 10:34 pm

The conference sounds awesome! Pick me

Aug 6, 2011 at 2:01 am

Being a dev manager in Estonia, I’m really glad to see something so cool happening quite nearby. I’d like to win a free ticket for one of our devs.

Aug 6, 2011 at 3:23 am

Would like to meet some frontend and dev superheroes as they’d be: Heilmann, Holzschlag, Boag and Irish.. and all the other interesting people I don’t know.

Thanks for providing this possibility.

Aug 6, 2011 at 6:32 am

I would be excited to win cos I have just come to London from Eastern Europe and such kind of events are too expensive for me to attend

Aug 6, 2011 at 6:34 am

It would be an awesome chance to experience first hand session with the guys I only hear online.
Thank you for it.

Aug 6, 2011 at 6:36 am

Sounds like a great conference with tons of learning possibilities.

Aug 6, 2011 at 7:38 am

I’d love to visit the frontend conference. I’m a economics and computer since student and also work as an IT Consultant at an junior enterprise and would love to get some more fronted experience.

Aug 6, 2011 at 11:39 am

I was hoping to go last year, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. I would LOVE to go this time.

Aug 6, 2011 at 1:11 pm

Thie conference is great. Love to attend this year!

Line up is diverse and interesting for a hybrid front-end and/or ID guy like me.

Aug 6, 2011 at 5:43 pm

I live in Oslo so that would just be terrific :D

Aug 6, 2011 at 6:23 pm

The speaker lineup looks great. I’d love to attend!

I’m quite jealous Norway has such a great web conference. We have nothing that even comes close here in Sweden. And at ~5-6K NOK it’s a steal!

Aug 7, 2011 at 6:24 am

I’d love to attend! :) It looks like a great conference

Going to front-end conf would be awesome for the most part and the fact that it’s in Oslo Norway doesn’t hurt either.

I hope I win the ticket.

I would love to go as I’ve never been to Frontend conferences, nor Oslo. Thanks!

This could be a great chance to attend the conference for the first time. Thank you so much for your offer.

Aug 8, 2011 at 12:16 am

Every front-ender must visit this like conference at least once in his/her life.

Aug 8, 2011 at 12:25 am

This would provide me a huge opportunity to be around like-minded people and learn from some of the best in the industry!

Aug 8, 2011 at 2:48 am

It certainly looks like an interesting conference to attend.

Aug 8, 2011 at 3:09 am

Missed it last year, would love to attend this year. Looks like a great line-up!

Aug 8, 2011 at 3:55 am

Can´t wait, I hope to get the chance to attend.

Aug 8, 2011 at 4:10 am

As a teacher in Web design in the secondary educational system in Sweden, I have little to no means to pay to attend such a necessary, educational and fun conference. It would greatly benefit my students, and me, of course. :-)
I also host a podcast, All In IT Radio, where we talk about everything IT related, which include web design. If I get to go to Frontend I would of course interview people, and publish it in our podcast, as well as on Hacker Public Radio.

Aug 8, 2011 at 5:16 am

Sounds a great conference and a big chance to attend it and learn a lot of things! And of course, a reason to visit Norway again… ;)

Aug 8, 2011 at 6:18 am

As a recent college graduate, to be given the chance to go to this festival would give me the best possible to opportunity to meet iconic front-developers / designers and help me to kick start my own career as a web designer.

Aug 8, 2011 at 7:09 am

I’d really love to attend the conference and have the chance to visit Oslo!

Aug 8, 2011 at 7:56 am

I would cherish the chance to attend such a brain fest.

Finally a conference close to where I live (Denmark)!

I think this year’s lineup is great — some really interesting people speaking. Even though not all subjects have been announced yet, it looks promising — would love to be given the chance to go.

Aug 8, 2011 at 11:40 am

Kinda expensive this event for a small agency like ours. Would love to hear out those speakers in Oslo.

Aug 8, 2011 at 11:42 am

Recently graduated this May, and started work a month after in usability and front-end design. The line up of speakers would definitely jump start this new career thing.

Aug 8, 2011 at 12:17 pm

As a (mostly) front-end web developer, a conference like this would be amazing! I was able to go to a development conference earlier this year and I learned so much that has been rapidly and positively applied to my work. Definitely worth it to go, especially over-seas!

Aug 8, 2011 at 12:34 pm

I have been looking for a good frontend conference, so I would love to try it out. What a great opportunity!! I live nearby as well:-)

I’ve been working in web design for a very long time, but there is always something new to learn. This sounds so great! UT’s strapped IT budget has little money for conferences, so I’d appreciate a chance at this! Thanks for thinking of others.

I just landed my first official front-end development position at a company in Nashville, TN. In fact, my first day is August 22nd. I’ve been a web designer/developer for 14 years … but this will be my first “User Experience Designer” position. I’m really pumped to finally work for a company that sees the true value in having a designer/developer with a clear focus on the user experience. So I’d love to attend this event! Please. And thanks for the opportunity!
