The Frontend conference I spoke at last year is hosting again this year in Oslo, Norway between October 10-12thFrontend 2011 (@frontend_conf). Unfortunately, I won’t be attending this year. However, I have a free conference pass to giveaway. To enter the contest, all you have to do is write a comment about your thoughts on the event in this blog post. The contest ends on August 19th, 2011. Then a random winner will be drawn from the comment list.

How to enter?

  • One entry per person. Duplicate comments will be voided.
  • Comment entries will be accepted until August 19, 2011.
  • One winner will be picked randomly. The winner will receive a conference ticket from the event organizer (Frontend 2011).

I’ve been looking into this conference for awhile and would love to attend. Great speakers and topics, should be a blast. Like what they’ve done with the website as well. Fingers crossed!

Id love to go, but the location and price may deter me, however…. a free ticket may change all that ;)

A front-end conference in Scandinavian.. I’ve been looking for that, then you post it! Since I started as web-developer on my education I would like to go for a conference, the pity is often the ticket price and the travel costs. So here I would be able to get the chance meeting other developers and designers! And hear all those amazing speakers!

I live in Denmark by the way and would be very pleased to get to that conf!

As a teacher in Web design in the secondary educational system in Sweden, I have little to no means to pay to attend such a necessary, educational and fun conference. It would greatly benefit my students, and me, of course. :-)
I also host a podcast, All In IT Radio, where we talk about everything IT related, which include web design. If I get to go to Frontend I would of course interview people, and publish it in our podcast, as well as on Hacker Public Radio.

I just landed my first official front-end development position at a company in Nashville, TN. In fact, my first day is August 22nd. I’ve been a web designer/developer for 14 years … but this will be my first “User Experience Designer” position. I’m really pumped to finally work for a company that sees the true value in having a designer/developer with a clear focus on the user experience. So I’d love to attend this event! Please. And thanks for the opportunity!
