Design Competition: Imagine Cup
Attention Students! Help Us Change the World and Win a Trip to Egypt! Microsoft is inviting Design, Photo and Film students to participate in Imagine Cup — a global Technology Student Competition focused on solving real world issues. Submit your project idea by April 1st, 2009 for the Imagine Cup Digital Arts Categories. This is a great opportunity for students to beef up their resume, make a difference by submitting a project that allows them to express themselves while having real impact in people’s lives, and be the potential winner of up to $8,000 and a trip to Egypt for the WW Finals. Competing is really easy, find out more at microsoft4me.com.
Interesting competition. Thanks for the heads up, but I don’t think I’ll be participating in it.
too bad I’m not a student anymore. sounds cool though.
ops, missed this opportunity, i am also same as @Anna
lol im gonna do this
What about us non-students who want to change the world? Interesting competition though, will be cool to see some entries.
Come on…
Contest like this one are complete BS. Microsoft just wants to collect cheap Ideas for their marketing…
Please, don’t participate in a “contest” like this. If you wanna give away your ideas… do it on your blog or something like that.
Thanks for heads up Nick…. I’ll give it a try !!
Imagine Cup.. Sponsored by Microsoft..
..
Imagine an operating system that works cup.
Being a young designer just getting my foot in the door, this is definitely something worth checking out. Thanks for posting, Nick!
Is it just me, or does anyone else think the information on their contest website is unclear? I’m not sure what they’re looking for in the design category.
lol I would love to try it :P
Looks like the first deadline was March 1, 2009 instead of April 1.
This contest looks like the first part of it is over.. There’s absolutely zero point in entering now. You would have had to already submit:
– A depiction of your design solution idea in visual form.
– A short description of your design.
The second round is now starting.. This post is useless.
