I’m an interactive designer and developer for an ad agency, as well as a general techno-dweeb. I would love the opportunity to be a part of such a large design/tech event, and have a chance to collaborate with so many of my peers.

Why do I want to go? Because I need to go, and be around other people. lol. Man is a social creature by nature. And I’m getting tired of spending time in front of my computer by myself in a dark room. lol. I’ve been interested in Flash for a while, espically 3D manipulation and real-time rendering. Thanks to James Acres, who has been giving me a ton of great information to get started and more familiar with all this stuff I am hoping to get some great contacts in the industry, make connections and most of all get inspired till my brain fries… I am a student and totally broke, even with a 30% discount I will not be able to go, since I will still have to pay for accommodations, food and transport. Winning one of those tickets would therefore be a charm to get further with my endeavor to become a Flash guru.

Good luck to all, no matter who wins those tickets it’ll be a blast!

I unfortunately missed my chance to enter the contest for female designers to win tickets by making a video expressing why they should win…II didn’t know they had this until after the deadline passed!

So here I am, trying, begging, pleading to let me attend so there CAN be more female attendance there! That and I really want to step further away from print (which I’m currently in) and have some real adventures in web!

The reason is simple: my main passion is graphic design and illustration. I work on a lot of different projects and want to be a part of a great event such as FITC.

Inspiration, knowledge, networking and the general admiration for what the top of Digital Media World has to offer is what I want to gain from attending the conference.
It will be a amazing opportunity to be picked for the giveaway above.

I would love to attend FITC. Main reason.. Well you know how kids always say they want to a doctor, or a engineer, or spaceman, I always wanted to be an artist. For the longest time I wasn’t letting myself to work on my dream, mainly because all I herd my whole life is that I need to think about money and artists don’t make money. Now I’m 23 years old and I finally on my way to be who I always wanted to be. I chose Digital Media Design out of all art programs at colleges and currently finishing up my first year.
I’m very passionate about what I do and I love being inspired by works of others. A lot of artists don’t get recognized for amazing works they do and it has to be changed. And events like FITC make that change.

Being freelance and an office of one, FITC is a great chance to connect with like minded individuals. It would mean the world to me and a good way to shake off winter cabin fever forever! Everyone at the office agrees I should go!
