Apr 11, 2010 at 8:18 pm

I’m going to have to agree with Mark on this one.
Photoshop is the favourite followed by premier pro.

Apr 11, 2010 at 8:28 pm

I’d have to say I’m extremely excited about the content aware filling! Sounds like touching up those photos will made even easier. But my favorite part of the CS would have to be Illustrator ;)

Apr 11, 2010 at 8:34 pm

I’m excited for the flash to html5 conversion :)

Apr 11, 2010 at 8:50 pm

Super excited for the content-aware fill feature of CS5!

Apr 11, 2010 at 9:01 pm

content aware +1

Apr 11, 2010 at 10:08 pm

That’s an easy one, I tweeted about this recently:

Finally have reasons to be excited for CS5: Content-Aware Fill, Refine Edge, Colour Selection & saving 16-bit .jpg’s

and the tweet:

I luv illustator. The content aware fill in photoshop looks awesome. Can’t wait until I can get my hands on cs5. :)

The content-aware fill in CS5 Photoshop has to be my favourite new feature. I can’t count the number of times a photo has been just too short, even after the CS4 content-aware scaling.

I’m not sure if this was announced at the event, but I just watched an overview of the RotoBrush tool in After Effects … so beautiful.

Photoshop’s content aware fill!

Nick Sil
Apr 12, 2010 at 1:32 am

I’m really diggin’ the potential for a much more lenient art engine. Photoshop has always been on the up-and-up as far as technology and services-provided are concerned; but arguably, the true art factor has been a bit of a miss. From what I see, Adobe seems to have hit the nail on my head. I am very excited about the potential to have more of a poetic licence — should I be allowed to be cliché!

Apr 12, 2010 at 1:37 am

Please excuse me! Admittedly, I neglected to read the entirety of the requirements in which to be qualified to win these prizes. I am not a citizen of Canada, but of the U.S.A. Please accept my misunderstanding and apology regarding what I now see to have been rather poignant oversight on my account. Best of luck to those in the running!!

Apr 12, 2010 at 2:07 am

OMG, Photoshop’s content aware fill!!

Apr 12, 2010 at 7:31 am

Not sure if this is in the event or not but I saw a demo video for Photoshop CS5 Content Awareness tool where it can erase entire trees or large objects from a photo and render graphic to fill in the space. It looks so seamless, its like black magic!!

I just finished watching the launch video, pretty cool stuff!
As far as what my favourite new feature is, I’m going to be unoriginal and say that Content Aware fill in Photoshop is the coolest new feature! Although I am looking forward to all of it, and the new Flash stuff.

Alexandru Pitea
Apr 12, 2010 at 10:54 am

Definitely the Puppet Wrap!

Apr 12, 2010 at 11:47 am

Apr 12, 2010 at 12:14 pm

I love every new feature each new release of Photoshop dishes out, but this time around, I’d have to say that the puppet-warp feature will come in handy, and content-aware fill will be such a time-saver.

It’s a tie for me… now how about a shirt to go with it?

Simon Robert
Apr 12, 2010 at 12:50 pm

My favorite new feature is Puppet Warp, just so nice … I imagine funny stuff I will do with it. I can wait to intall this new version of the CS. !

Rommel Miraflores
Apr 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm

Woah. I have to change my answer. The new, improved, Refine Edge feature when selecting and masking. Awesome tool! Smart Radius Edge Detection and the Refine Edge brush is a winning combination!

Apr 12, 2010 at 1:11 pm

Content-aware filling.

Apr 12, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Content-aware filling for sure !!

Philippe Gaboury
Apr 12, 2010 at 1:19 pm

With content-aware fills, live preview, browser lab, refined edges and puppet warp there’s just too much to pick just one. But just one t-shirt will do fine.

Content aware fill, browser labs are my 2 favorite features in the new CS5.

intelligent auto-fill all the way!

Apr 12, 2010 at 4:25 pm

Live View and Browser Lab in Dreamweaver are my favourite!
Browser compatibility always causes problems for web developers/designers, I’m glad that Adobe found a way of making this step a little easier! :D

Apr 12, 2010 at 4:36 pm

photoshop seems to finally catch up with the advancements in ui design. my fav feature is the new rendering panel for 3d typography. Just what I dreamed of!
Gonna get production premium as soon as it comes out!

Content aware fill FTW!

Bree Smith
Apr 12, 2010 at 6:12 pm

There was a lot of great stuff from the launch video. As a web developer I was really excited about the integrated browser lab feature in Dreamweaver. I already use it, but now it’s handier!

I’m also looking forward to trying Photoshop’s new brushes. Corel Paint has had the upper hand with fine art brushes, but we’ll see if Photoshop will give it some competition!

Apr 12, 2010 at 6:14 pm

Hey I’m canadian, finally a contest for us :)
On topic, Photoshop definitely.

I’m loving the inclusion of Flash / Animations in InDesign CS5! I’ve been looking for a way to do interactive newsletters because my imagination is always one step ahead of what current software can do.

Apr 12, 2010 at 8:29 pm

my favorite Adobe CS5 feature would have to be non other than the variable width strokes adjustment for Illustrator. I think using the new width handles will definitely save me some time.

Apr 12, 2010 at 9:22 pm

photoshop brushes definitely. I was forced to use coral draw. better tablet interfacing (not that it’s bad)

I’d love a t-shirt =)

I also like the CS review feature. That would be great in our workgroup!

Apr 13, 2010 at 1:14 pm
