Excited to know you’ll be speaking at WordCamp. I’m a graphic designer (print) that has made the transition to web design. For the last 2 years I have been striving to write valid, standard compliant code. I have never had a chance to listen to any leading designer / code ninja speak at any conference and would love to start learning from experts in the field.
nice. i have one!!!
I am excited because I know that CG6 can do great things! Also, I would like to learn the various ways I can utilize WordPress in a non boring way. I’ve been to social media sessions and not one has focused just on WordPress. I have my own little company and would like to start with WordPress. As well as I represent other not-for-profit organizations and would like to help them gain wider recognition with as much free advertising with a blog as possible.
I am a veteran IT and web technology specialist that has deployed WP and looking to expand my understand of those that actually use and make it to better meet their needs.
I love WordPress so much
this is awesome ! I wanna go :)
I want to learn more about webdesign, WordPress and web stuff from professionals. I really enjoed WebExpo 2008 in Prague.

I would love to go to WordCamp Toronto becouse I love your websites, and the way you used wordpress to bild up this fantastic web site. I love wordpress, and I know that it is one of the most useful an easy-to-customize CSM in the world.
I would love to go to WordCamp Toronto because you can never learn, know or strive for too much when it comes to knowledge, and refusing to expose yourself to new or better ways of accomplishing something will only harm you in the long run.
There is only one reason that I want to go to WordCamp Toronto and that is to hear you speak! :-) Plus, it would be a cool place to meet new people that have similar interests.
I would love to go because my WP blog is pathetic and I’m in serious need of instruction.
Would love to hear you speak and Toronto is just a short trip up the Thruway for me. Conferences are a great way to recharge and excite you. Thanks!

I will love to get to know a bit more about WordPress!
Think this will be fantastic to attend!
I have a very close friend who I haven’t seen in years that lives in Toronto. Going to WordCamp would not only be the perfect excuse to tell my wife why I have to go to Toronto, but I’d also be given the opportunity to learn so much more about the tool we use on 90% of our websites.
Gas from Minnesota to Canada: $200
Road Munchies: $40
Being able to party with your buddy after attending an extremely great opportunity to learn about an amazing tool without getting in trouble with you wife: priceless.

I’ve recently started looking into learning wordpress myself and seeing as this site has been bookmarked for so long, it’s a great resource and I think that this would be a great way to learn. Besides, it would be cool to actually learn this sort of thing surrounded by people of similar mindset.
hook it up! i’d love to go!
Would love to attend and learn more about WordPress web dev.
Cool. I’d like to become proficient with WordPress. Sounds like this will be a good learning experience.
Not only do I want to go, but I have to go, because my better half won a ticket for herself on another site. Entering the event as a pair of ticket winners might make me want to develop a wp-luck plugin :)

What better way than to learn from the best.. and finally not from a video tut!

Well definitely beverages of choice for some.

Oh yeah, I’m precisely heading to improve my Worpress-tweaking skills. This conf could be a strong point.
I’d love to go to this.. even if just to cover for our magazine!
How exciting this must be for you, to speak at WordCamp 2009. What a fortunate opportunity. You get to educate people about different uses for WordPress and other topics.
How excited I am just to enter this contest, I’d love to go. I wouldn’t mind picking up some tips from professionals and getting exposed to the whole industry. I’m usually stuck learning it all from my computer. An opportunity indeed.
Good luck to us all (especially me – oh, and I guess it would be cool to see/meet R.C. or any of the other Adobe guys there)
by the way, I live in the Toronto area, so I wouldn’t have to travel far to hear you speak at the event…
i would love one
I would love to have a chance to go.
I’ve never been to anything like this and it would be awesome! :D
After working with, and breaking wordpress over my knee many times in the past month, I’d love to have a chance to hear some good about it again.

WOO wordcamp! I’d LOVE to learn more about using wordpress
I didn’t get ticket to FITC 2009 at the lucky draw. Hopefully I would be lucky this time.
First, I want to congratulate you:). I do not want to enter the competition because I live in Croatia and there is no chance for me attend this event.
I just wanted to congratulate you and say that I’ve learned a lot from you You, your site and success encouraged me to open my blog because I’m young (18 years) and want to learn a lot more from you. Thanks:).
My birthday is the 10th of may, so I think that would be a great gift!
As a designer who is beginning to divulge into the world of wordpress designs I think going to WordCamp would be a great experience for me to listen and learn from the experts. I’m always trying to enhance my flexibility as a designer and wordpress is another huge obstacle that I must tackle. Plus I live about 15 minutes from the downtown core ;)
Niiickk, I just graduated from Digital Media Arts in [email protected] give me ticketssss. :D
I just discovered WordPress and would def LOVE the chance to learn more about it… This would be one of the best things ever :)
Oh man, I’d love to go to this! As I’m planning to work with small and new businesses to get a web presence, the idea of customizing a WordPress build is a fantastic solution! The more I know about the platform the better!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that I can get the chance to go. Even the student price (which I am) I still cant afford to go on my own dime.
I <3 art.
I will be lucky enough if i get this one, i live in Toronto, it will be great if i could win. I have done some css and jquery but it will be really good if i can put some of my fingers in wordpress.

I’d love to come out to WordCamp to support WP as a whole and to meet the local community that powers its growth in Toronto. Cheers to the lucky winners!
I’m looking forward to WordCamp Toronto! Was introduced to it by my instructor Brendan, who runs PHUG, BackSpaceStudios, and Dropthedigbomb. anyway, as a poor starving student, free tix would be divine :)
I would be the happiest boy ever!
I totally love to go.
Thank you for the opportunity
I’m one of two web developers for the design company for which I work. We use WordPress to power almost all of our clients’ sites and our own company site, and I use it for my personal sites as well. I’m constantly finding new ways to tweak and use WP and all of my knowledge has been powered by searches and the WP forums (and WDW), so I consider myself a proud member of the WP community. I love WordPress, and getting some professional tips and guidance would be a huge boost for me both professionally and personally.
Working as a web developer for a design company, we use WordPress to power many, if not all, of at least a portion of our clients’ sites. I personally have been a very long-time user of WordPress and have continued to be pleased and amazed by the huge, helpful community of WordPress users who provide tips and tricks and great plugins. I would love the opportunity to take part in WordCamp and come away more knowledgeable and with exciting new ideas that I can incorporate into client sites and my own personal sites.
Been Following you since the beginning, and this is exciting! I’m not too far from Toronto, now I must consider going to WordCamp, maybe I’ll see you there?
I realize that every web designer, film-maker, musician, artist and creative is keeping connected and secure using WordPress. It’s becoming ubiquitous. I only started using it recently but love it so far. I can see the potential of such a powerful developing tool and would love to learn more at WordCamp 2009.

I’ve just graduated in computer sciences in Montréal and Web Dev has been in my mind from the begining of my formation. Now having the chance to assist at a conference here in canada would be very exiting! Even if I don’t win I’ll try to be there for sure!
Your work is inspiring and has helped me a lot in my projects!
Continue the good work…
Thanks for a great opportunity, but I won’t be able to make it as I can’t afford to travel. All the best to other designers here and good luck
Pick me! Pick me! I would LOVE to go!
just get it
I have never been to a web seminar and would love to finally go to one, and as I’m just starting to dig deeper into WordPress, It would be very beneficial to me and I’d use the information to encourage a better web.

Moataz El Wesimy

I would love to go to WorldCamp, I am a big fan of Your work & WordPress!!! I saw you in FOWD New York and loved your Illustrations… I would like to go because I feel that I could learn more about WordPress and theme building with an artistic flair… and because my Ancestors are from Canada (Montreal)… but I have never been!
What a great way to get lots of comments ;)
Very excited by it being in TO and fingures crossed will be able to go
I hope I can win this time! I live in Detroit.. and This conference could be a great reason to know Canada :D
I want to go!! I love doing websites and I want to get excellent at this art!
I think many websites will be moving to the WordPress format and would love to get tips and tricks for the three WordPress sites that I manage and the many that I write for.
Excellent! I would be thrilled at any opportunity to hear you speak in person.
I’ve been developing sites for 7 years now, mostly using Microsoft’s technolgies (ASP and ASP.NET now) at the day job. Whenever I can I try to go with the open source flow. All my freelance jobs are done on Unix using PHP and whenever possible I try to use wordpress for a website project.
WordCamp would help me get upto speed with WordPress and I would like to talk to the people who use it on regular bases as to were it is going in the future.
Would love to see you speak. New to the design game and want to become a WordPress Master. Currently just a lone padawan working things out on his own.
I live in toronto and i’d love to go to wordcamp! I’ve just started setting up my website using WordPress and I’m still learning, so it would be a great conference to go to.
a beautful site !
nice! It will be cool if I can go to toronto for word camp.
What a good timing ! I’ve been learning how to use wordpress as a Cms and amazed at how beautiful the program is. I would be happy if i get the ticket *crossing my fingers
Another awesome opportunity! WordPress has fast become the platform I try to suit to any project, and it does amazingly well.
I would love to go…
That would be completely awesome. Thanks for the opportunity!
We worked together briefly at the Yellow Pages – and as I was looking around for WordPress info on the internet, I came upon your site. I must say I’m in awe of what you’ve done!! I would love to hear you speak at the conference.

I want nothing more than to be a leet web designer like you :)
I wish I could be at the conference. I’m just starting to get back into using wordpress again and It has improved a lot.
Unfortunately I’m in Boston and a trek to Toronto wouldn’t work for me.
Keep up the good work and please take the show on the road.
Please let me come, I would love to hear you speak!
Another great opportunity to live, learn and listen! I am in Salt Lake and would love to cruise up to Toronto to hear you speak. Sign me up brother!!
Hey, maybe I will win. I would like to learn more about WordPress and how it can be used. Thanks.
I love WordPress!!! Would love to hear you speak and I live in Toronto.
Was thinking about making the drive up from Vermont. I am a WordPress lover and think it would be great to connect with you Canadian WordPress folks. The debut of Flashpress also looks hot! Hook me up with some free tix and I’ll hop in the car and drive on up. Anyone want to carpool from New England?
WordPress Rules! Open Source! And yeah I’m looking forward to seeing you speak in Toronto.
I would like to go because I am super green when it comes to wordpress, but i have started my own business around using wordpress as a user friendly and intuitive CMS for my clients. I also can’t afford to go without winning tickets! Love the blog!
Love the way you always give away stuff. Thanks.
It’s an opportunity to learn more about WordPress and meet the guru’s of WordPress.
WordPress is a great tool. Would love the chance to learn more!
Well, I want to go there to learn from the masters in their field and right now I am trying to learn how to become a webdesigner
To be the most creative person I can be… To learn, to share and to help others open their minds has I am facing my fears. Thank you and God Bless.
I’m just starting out with WordPress! I’d love to attend the event :)
I’m a stay-at-home mom who is also a part-time graphic/web designer for an IT company, as well as doing freelance on odesk.com with as much time as I have left available. I would love to be able to go with my husband to this event, who is a developer, but alas, my daughter’s first birthday is May 8th and her party is May 9th – maybe free tickets to the next place you are speaking??? I love to visit your site for the kick in the butt of inspiration I need, and would love to have a better understanding of WordPress functionality.
Hoping to expand my knowledge and see what the show has to offer
I would love to learn and network :)
Hope to hear from you soon!
yea wordpress! :D
I’ve had a WordPress blog for over a year and am looking forward to going to the WordCamp 2009. I’ve been to events like Podcamp Toronto 2009 and really like the interaction that this type of gathering provides: you meet interesting people who come together to share ideas. It’s one of the best ways to learn. See you all at WordCamp 2009.
I am right downtown and would absolutely love, love, love to go to WorldCamp…
Thank you for the wonderful giveaways!
I’ve started blogging in the year 2002 when I was eightteen and full of stories to tell out of my life. So I decided not to write emails with things happend to my friend in Australia. Instead of it, I started writing online Diary. WordPress came out to be the software solution I was looking for. It is great to keep my memories, pictures, galleries and stuff up to date. My friends and all other interessted people can add my feed and be informed about me and my life. So, what’s next? I’d love to go to Toronto as a journalist and the personal diary blogger that I am. Please say: Yes, you can!
I went to Word Camp last October, and was really inspired to try to use the WordPress software as I gradually built an editing and writing business. I’ve only recently gotten my website, and finally moved one of my WordPress blogs to it. Needless to say, the income level is very low while I’m still at the beginning, and I was looking forward to the next WordCamp TO (which I thought would be later in the year) for more great ideas, to really build things. Now that my blog is on my own site, so many of the ideas I heard about last year can now be implemented, if I can refresh my memory about them and talk to others to get ideas and tips.
Now I discover today that WordCamp is next week, not later in the year! And no matter what it costs, I can’t afford to go. This is really disappointing.
Hey, I’d be pretty stoked to win a ticket! Definitely wouldn’t be an empty seat!
Cheers for the chance, Nick! :)
I really would like to go!!
Becouse I love WordPress – that is my job! I hope that I`ll win :)
After a few drinks on the Saturday night (happy b-day Yaro!!) I think that the real reason that anyone would want to go is to get to know a few more like -minded people, get ‘alcoholized’ and make friends for a long time after the conference is over (it’s not always about business, y’know..)…oh, and yes “develop myself as a designer and an artist and so on…. :P” (tounge in chick).. Have a great time whoever goes there!
I want to go to WordCamp to see the culture/personality of the people which will help me choose my career more carefully.
I would also love to see you in person and other great designers and writers.
Love your site! Am very excited about the opportunity of winning a ticket to WordCamp and hearing you speak about WordPress. Sign me up for this contest!
I think I’m too late, but sign me up if it’s not! Thx!
