Wonderlist, I can’t said than this..

Now this is the inspiration I’ve been looking for! I am a complete novice. I just decided to take classes to really learn how to create websites. Until now I’ve been using the limited resource that I have a available. It’s good to see some really dynamic websites for the inspiration to learn!

Nice collection, however each year they seem to all consist of design agencies and personal portfolios. I’d like to see some more commercial sites up here. As when looking for inspiration, obviously it is going to be for a commercial site rather than a personal or self promotion site when it’s your profession. Perhaps some with advertising zones in there would be nice. All the sites in the list don’t have any and it would be good to see what others do when faced with the task of where to place these spaces where the content is unpredictable.

I love the variety of sites you chose. Sometimes people underestimate the beauty of a simple well-designed site.

A lot of nice layouts here but there also seems to be a lot of ho-hum run of the mill layouts as well. They’re all great looking designs but I was surprised to see some of these sites in here. Several of the sites have nice aesthetics but the layouts are just a bit to “expected” to make a best of ’09 list in my opinion. Overall, a great list though. thanks for the time and effort to put this together.

My favourite by a country mile is the Book Covers design. I think it perfectly sums up this kind of Magazine layout. Not only that, because of the strength of the design and the quality business idea, it instantly becomes the leader in it’s field.

They are all very clean, tidy and well designed, but it all seems a bit stark. Even the “grunge” ones are clean. It makes me wonder where all the people are? I much preferred your collection from 2008 – that was a beautiful collection – could just be my taste, it’s all subjective.

Very impressed! This ia a very good list of CSS Designs. I especially liked: Trent Walton, Square space, Book cover archive, Work at Play, and Paravel. They seen so modern and creative. This is just the kind of thing that attracts people and intrigues them to go through the website. When involving business websites; this is extremely important. If more business websites took the time to make their business site more appealing using different and modern design concepts; this would attract more visitors; thus increasing potential clients.

It is unfortunate that these designs are not archived in somewhere because it would be great to see them forever. Lot of these designs of 2009 are no longer available :(

As 2010 has drawn to a close its time to reflect upon the design trends in the coming year. In my opinion the new trends will follow on from the trends of the 2009 and 2010. We are unlikely to see drastic changes but the widespread adaptation of blog style web.20 enabled layouts…simple and clean cut with content as the main focus. gun safe
