I’m working on redesigning my site and logo and was wanting to make new MOO cards to give out when networking at two conferences I’m headed to this month. I love MOO and usually do a set of mini cards at least once a year. Postcards would be an awesome way to actually show a few portfolio pieces!

Also I <3 Web Designer Wall – I always recommend your WordPress tutorial to beginners because it's truly what helped me figure out how to make my first theme (and I should probably go comment that on those posts…).

I love Moo! I’ve bought their products before for mini business cards and a writer’s block giveaway for our local NaNoWriMo contingent. I would LOVE to win their postcards because with November coming up, I could write reminder notes to my writing group again – but this time, with flair!

I hope I win!!

In 2 weeks I’ve a 1st year anniversary with fiance & would like to make sth with our photos… cards sounds very nice. Find best photos (easy) & write sth from the heart (this is the hard part). Moo is the best choice if we speak about quality.

Oh!!! I have business cards from MOO, and I have to refresh them soon, since I just got my dream job. :) I will be designing garments and accessories in a small boutique with three other designers from October. It would be so nice to have the design processes, fashion illustrations printed on beautiful cards, so we could give them to our costumers, hang them in the shop and promote our little creative community in the neighborhood.

Although I think it’s a stretch to call fifty dollars “grand”, I must shamefully admit that I’ve done far worse for a mere $50: Out of desperation, I once entered and won a “best ass” contest at the Ramrod in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. That fifty dollars bought me enough gas to get the hell out of Florida. However, in hindsight, I think $50 worth of MOO business cards would do a much better job at promoting my design business, than perhaps a tattoo on my prize-winning rear end.

I’m in my first year of design school (studying graphic design) so being able to use their print services for my assignments this year would be extremely convenient. Not to mention, many of my friends have moved out of the city to be closer to school so having self-designed postcards to send them would be sweet!

I heard from a close friend that MOO has an awesome service and I look forward to trying them out. Thanks for this giveaway!

I should win, because I am an avid vector artist. Though I am currently majoring in game art design, vectors are a great passion of mine, that I use for both graphic art and game design. I would really love to win to be able to print my portraits on post cards and send them out. What a great way to stay in touch with business connections and stay in the loop with my old networks. It would be a really great benefit to me, as I have a lot of past design team mates I would like to keep within my professional network. And displaying my vector art abilities would help me advertise my portrait commission ability as well, to those I send them to.-Just in time for the Holidays.

Thank you for considering me! :)

I usually make postcards myself, so I can glue stupid stuff all over them, and leave encouraging messages for the postman. This will probably turn out the same- but glossy (or nice matte?)! Out of respect for the glossiness (or nice matte), I will, for a change, show restraint and not put large type comic sans on the front of anything that gets sent to designers. Send me an address, and you’ll get (restrained (or not)) mail from NZ too (;

Hey!
I’d love to win because my boyfriend and me don’t live at the same place.
Now his birthday is right around the corner and the Moo cards would be a great medium for a very special and personal gift.
Go figure: I’ll send him one of the postcards every day. Every postcard picture shows a part of my body. And at the end, after receiving all cards, he can stick the cards together and I’m at his place too! Great! The Pictures already exist, now I only need the cards! :)

I’ve always wanted to use the MOO service but the lack of money, and the lack of using business cards here in Sweden – I haven’t got the chance. I’m hoping swedes will change their mind sooner or later. Cause – I have!

I have a quiet a few illustrations I’m currently trying to print out to sell as greeting cards and prints so this will be a good way to see what printing quality you guys offer and it will be awesome to win at least ONE thing for once :)

I’ve been wanting to try MOO for awhile now, but could never decide what to order. Should it be the 100-pack of business cards with a different photo-quality pic 0n each? The stickers? The postcards? …and then what? Which images should I share? Should each item have a different image? 5 of each design? 3 of each? GAH! I’m drowning in choices, here!
I should win because it would light the fire under my bum to finally get something printed–no more hopping back and forth.
Thanks very much!

I’ve been following you guys ever since I was a wee designer wishing one day I will get a business card design done! I’ve loved the unique approach that you guys have to all your marketing as well as your products. I deserve to win because I’d make something magical with the prize!

This is my most favorite best website for trends and tutorials. There is no good reason why I am deserving over anyone else accept that I collect postcards, have saved every post card I was ever sent, and send myself a post card from any place I travel. It’s quite a collection, you should come by and see it. I’ll make bread, brew tea, open the best jam. Thank you.

I’ve never won anything in my life (36yrs old). I have however found things like money a couple times. And once I got a better seat at a concert for trading my ticket to some guy that didn’t like the band playing next.

Good Morning,

I had actually heard about MOO, and I ordered the example pack to see the quality of the cards and stickers. Well, a weeks ago I actually got the packet and I was really surprised with what they sent. The quality is amazing, the colors look great and overall I highly recommend working with this company. They also have amazing designs in their page that can be reused or just used as an inspiration point.

I have started to work on my own designs, and if you noticed the plural it is correct. The best thing is that each card you order can have a different design so if the prize here are 20 postcards you can actually have 20 different designs!! (Cool huh?).

So, I believe this would be a great opportunity to get started printing my designs! Whether I win this or not, I think this is a great opportunity the winners should enjoy! Thanks a lot!

Kind Regards,
M.

I should win, because I absolutely LOVE MOO, but have never tried their postcards and I decided to leave my job to stay home with my 1,5-year-old and enjoy the simpler life and pursue my crafting, so I couldn’t afford to order them myself.

I just started getting into screen printing and working on developing my personal brand, I would love to get some postcards done for the holiday season where I can promote what I do and try and get some interest all while sending holiday wishes. I would feature a few pictures of my work on the front of the postcard.

My design students have used MOO before for business cards and I was very pleased with the results so using them for postcards would be fantastic and may inspire a new project! This is so exciting!!! I hope I win :)

I don’t have a good reason WHY I should win, I just WANT to win…I think MOO’s business cards are top of the line in terms of how creative, clever, and unique the design choices they provide. I just started my own business so as soon as I get more than one client I am treating myself to some MOO business cards, I have them picked out already, they are the ones with the quotes on the back! So why, or for that matter who, wouldn’t want to win postcards from MOO?

i recently moved to washington (from texas). when i got here, the first thing i did was buy a printer so i could print address labels to send mail to everyone back home.

after buying all the postcards they had left at the nearby borders that was closing, i looked all over town (redmond) for other places that sold them, and my 6th stop finally had some (bartell drugstore). because of the way they have to ring up items, the cashier had to scan 86 individual postcards. i sent a postcard to each person every couple of days for the first month.

when i ran out of variety (by having sent 6 or 7 different shots of the seattle space needle to each person), i decided to print my own. i went on etsy and looked for blank postcards, but when i got them, i realized the printer wouldn’t play nice with something that small… so i ordered some card stock and a paper trimmer on amazon to make my own postcards.

when they arrived, i realized the paper was too floppy when cut down to the necessary size. eventually, i went to staples to find better paper, but all they had left were bright colors (it was back to school week so they were out of a lot of things). finally, i just decided to use the 200 pages of card stock i had bought on amazon, so after printing out designs for the postcards, i cut them with the trimmer and glued 2 sheets together to solve the floppy problem.

i mailed a few postcards that way. it was a bit weird, but i loved being able to have my own images on them. the recipients loved it, too. i’d make postcards with their names on the front, or print a picture of us together, etc. after that, i never bought standard postcards again because the custom ones were so much more fun.

i didn’t know there was a service out there that would print your own graphics on actual postcards like this. it would have saved me a lot of grief.

if i don’t win this, i’ll still probably order those postcards on moo! lol.

my name is carie, and postcards are my new obsession :)

I am moving 10.5 hours away from my home town. I won’t be able to come back and visit my family through the holidays. It would be nice to send them something, made by me, like mailing out cards that I designed. They would get a kick out of that.

First of all great stuff. Your WP Themes, jQuery plugins, photoshop stuff is really cool. You asked “Why I should win” the MOO prize. I think i am the only one who requested MOO demo but cant buy cause of shipping price. It likes loving a girl but cant tell it her :) It makes me happy to win like everbody here. (Maybe i will be a little more )

I would loooove to win because printing new postcards and business cards would help me jumpstart my freelance career.

Oct 8, 2011 at 7:06 am

I could dazzle you with design jargon, and tell you how I am the one that should win because I just got my Associates Degree in Graphic Design, and how I want to jump start my freelance career, but than I would be one amount many. I could say that I deserve to win because I really like your site, but alas that would be,…like really trying to be something I am not, someone who religiously reads your site. I am not. I am just a designer who stumbled onto this contest looking for inspiration. A designer, that is having a hard time sleeping because of a design problem that, cant be MOO-ved.
