Since Web Designer Wall launched last year, the feedbacks been encouraging. Recently though, a lot of complaints have come in that I don’t write frequently enough. Well, writing quality content takes time; plus I have to manage my freelance business and Best Web Gallery. Some people have suggested hiring guest bloggers to step-up posting frequency, which sounds interesting. So, please tell me what you think in the poll below:
[poll=12]
Kai
I think this is an excellent idea.
I’d love to see Web Designer Wall be something like TechCrunch or Mashable with regularly updated news on design.
Curvball
Yes to more frequent updates please ;)
However, I’d be happy with less frequent posts that are worth reading instead of jamming my RSS reader with useless info… quality over quantity.
Marvin
quality content > more posts
as curvballl said!
i voted for “No”
accessoire
Well there are some answer options missing. I’d like more content. But if the guest posters aren’t as good as you are, then no thanks! So I don’t vote.
Ram
Less is more. I voted for No.
Emil
I’d like to have frequent updates too, but they need to have the same quality :)
Alex Coleman
So far I’ve loved every post on this site. I’d hate to see any information that doesn’t follow that previously mentioned “quality”. I’d say no.
Kym
Or maybe you can employ based on the amount of quality posts (similar to salesmen’s commission?)…because you know, quality can deteriorate over time.
Josch
As the others mentioned – if the quality of other writers is as good as yours then more content is absolutely ok, if it isn’t – no friggin way!
Thanks a lot for this stunning site :-)
Gilbert
I think people can tolerate a low post frequency if the quality of posts is as good as yours normally are. But on the other hand it would be good to see more posts with such high quality content. So my answer is yes but not at the sacrifice of quality.
Max
I would take a look at how PSDTuts.com does it. Many artists and guests write an article. They send it in for approval and if it is worth publishing (ie for good quality), they get the money and visitors get an excellent article.
I’ve seen PSDTuts grow up from the start and the scheme seems to work perfectly because the site is more popular than ever. Plus, the articles that get written are perfect. They also have the same quality and standard which is kept straight through some tight guidelines you should have (if you decide to go with something like that) as well.
Lastly, it doesn’t have to be a new article each day. Maybe one or two per week would perfect enough. I think you’ll figure it out in the end.
Balron
Same as many others… quality>quantity , so I voted NO. There are many other blogs and websites with tutorials…with many authors…but your one is unique. If you could hire few bloggers which would write same quality posts as you do, then ok…but I do not think that you will find them.
Sandie Sørensen (Denmark)
I think absolutely!
I’m kina old fashioned, and I don’t have a RSS-feeder, therefore I still surf to your site every day to see if something happens. I was surprised to see something happen this time, because there rarely does…
Of cause I also think the articles should be of some quality, but since I visit your site anyway each day at work, I could deside for my self- what is relevant for me..
I have acctualy considered deliting you from my bookmark because for some time nothing happened. But I couldn’t bring my self to do it. And now I hope things have changed… I’d loooove to see more!
Sandie
Casper
At Smashing they’re doing an interesting take on this – currently guest authors are writing short-to-medium articles, with an option supplied to rate the article thus giving readers control over quality.
I think that’s way better than just a one-off “Decide now, moan later” approach, in the form of a poll.
So, I’d definetely like to see more articles on here, but not at the expense of quality – as someone else said, every post on here is great!
Keep up the good work Nick, kudos!
David Hellmann
Don’t hire Bloggers! It is your Page and i found the Content is perfect! The Articels enjoy more furore.
QUALITY >>>>> QUANTITY!!!!
Marc
Don’t do it for the sake of quality. Can’t say more, just that it’s kinda hard to imagine anybody else putting up tuts in this way + quality. Great job you’re doing! Thanks.
Nathan Beck
Go for it Nick, get some other writers on board. I still check your site every day and would definitely love to see more articles.
Why don’t you try a competition – everyone send in an entry article and you pick the best and choose them as another blogger to help out.
Žeb
I’m totally agree, your content is great like that ! Nick ;-)
Gavin
I’ve seen other blogs do this and not only the quality but the tone changes. Be aware that WDW will become something else, good or bad.
I vote no, because I can’t agree to more content for content’s sake. The web is fat enough, it needs a good editor.
Horia
It would be a good idea only if the quality of the content remains the same or, why not, gets better.
Adam
I think that right now the quality of writing and the tutorials are excellent . It would be a shame if that was spoiled for more frequent updates…
Andreas
If the quality is maintained or – if possible – improved: go for it!
Marnie B
I don’t think you need to hire bloggers. If people express interest to be guest bloggers (without getting paid), then sure, take them up. Otherwise I would keep going the way you are. You’re doing great.
Alex (from Germany)
I voted for “No” since I believe the quality of the articles will decrease.
There might be ways to get along with guest-writers, as Casper already mentioned, but I don’t see why you would like to give away absolute control of your content.
In my humble opinion, it’s hard enough to find articles of high quality on the web without ending up between ten and more tabs seperating the more interesting from the less manually – and losing a lot of time actually! I’d rather spend on reading a book or drinking a cup of black hot coffee.
I want to enjoy reading your articles and leave with the thought that the next always will be worth the while. :D
Alex
Jeroen
No, I think the blogs come frequent enough and gives me a nice sane explanation of the subject. I also follow a few other webdesign-related blogs that don’t post so frequent either but the content is worked harder on than the more frequent blogs.
(Don’t mind looking at my website, it’s dutch and not updated since march this year.)
giackop
Do it only if the quality of the content doesn’t change.. Too many times when the number of posts increases the quality doesn’t follow the trend..
Lozbo
I rather have quality than quantity. And both is good, but then I can’t keep up with so much posts!
Jikky
I only can agree with the above comments. I voted no.
It’s nice to see an update but it is no must. Real life always takes precedence especially when freelance. I believe you should continue the way you have and if you do get more clients in a period, tend to them instead of the blog. That doesn’t mean I would not look forward to updates. ^_^
Plus I like the friendly informative atmosphere your blog has now. The designs are lovely. the tutorials are brilliant and all is conveyed in a light, very welcoming and most of all accessible way for those less developed (yet). Keep all the posts in your own pocket. Your doing wonderful. And thank you for each post you do find time to make.
Quality and consistency over quantity.
Aaron
It’s better that you post quality articles. WDW is more like an online design magazine. If you do decide to hire bloggers, make sure you moderate the articles.
Eucrid
I said yeah but I’ll add a caveat that it should only be if you can find writers of the quality thats already on offer, which I’d imagine is easier said than done.
Graeme
I voted yes to the question because I like the site but do feel that it suffers slightly from it’s lack of action. In saying that, it’s testament to the blog that it is so popular despite the slow post rate.
I’d echo what others have said about the guest bloggers, they need to be quality and I’d suggest using individuals that you know and who you have faith in to write quality articles.
Bridget Stewart
I voted no. I really enjoy your blog, because of what is already provided and don’t feel a need to see that change. The reason there is an outcry from the public for higher posting frequency is because the information provided here is a great source of help. However, you don’t have to cave in to peer pressure. Keep doing what you do best. :)
Gav
Nick, i am one of those people that said the website should get more posts done. Main reason i say it is becuase your websites are amazing, but lack of content will start making people bored and move on.
Guest bloggers is a fantastic idea as long as their posts can be on parr with yours. If not it just turns into another random blog site. Personal preference is i would rather wait 3 months for an amazing, fantastic, helpful post, than 3 days for a post on how to use the eye picker tool!!
Hope it goes well
Gav
Doug
I really don’t think you should. You do such a fantastic job at everything you write, new bloggers could come in and mess everything up. If people want to contribute, just read through their post, then decided if you want to post it in their name (since you can do that with WordPress).
I will still keep reading this blog, as it has helped me in many different ways.
John
I don’t think the current frequency of posting is a problem. That’s what feedreaders are for – it’s not like I have to unsubscribe if you haven’t posted for a few days (or weeks or whatever). I’d rather have the same high-quality posts delivered to me via rss at the current frequency than lots of posts of less quality.
Douglas Neiner
I voted Yes…. Once you hire a blogger, you can review five of his blog posts to make sure they match your quality in the time it takes you to write one. Take PSDTUTS,NETTUTS,etc. Not every tutorial is of the same quality, but there is something for everyone. Also, if you still wrote one every two months it wouldn’t be as if anything had changed, there would just be more in between for the rest of us.
Carolyn
I voted yes.
But only if the content is quality. I don’t need 4-5 articles per day – maybe 2-3 per week? I agree with the majority of posters that I’ve read that we don’t need quantity for quantities sake.
I know you’ll do the right thing! :-)
Kate
I think you should! There are definitely bloggers who are capable of writing great content to match with the feeling WDW has going already.
Bill Fant
I think it’s a good idea if the content is on par with what you have been offering. This is a fantastic resource for coding standards plus good design and more frequent posts would be welcomed. Hopefully you can find some knowledgeable writers that offer good insight and allow you to guide/edit their offerings.
Post idea: iPhone stylesheets
King Rich
One of the things that I love about this blog is that its not bloated with crap like some other sites, and I know that every post is something that I’m going to enjoy.
K.I.S.S.!
Eli Penner
Have a contest!
Dave
The ‘A list apart’ system seems to work well, with anyone making suggested contributions that go through an editor. Incredibly, there is a still a niche for quality web design articles.
Jose Pena
i vote yes!
Fredrik
I think it would be great with some guest bloggers as long as you keep the quality of the posts. It would be really nice to see some bloggers on diffrent themes..
Cameron
@ 39 King Rich: I agree totally, I get excited when new content does come up on WDW (however infrequently) as I know its going to be something cool, informative and written with a nice style and attention to detail. Please don’t pollute this great little site!
Gav
Cameron, i thought exactly the same until Nick done his bean bag review on NDesign
Gav
matt keogh
I’m voting no. Maybe if the quality was as good as the usual posts but I’m of the opinion that I have enough posts to read. Please keep up the good work!
Foxglove1028
True, allowing guest bloggers to post stuff to the site would bring more articles to read however, if everyone is still asking for the same quality of the current articles then wouldn’t that still take just as long? I mean it might take half as long but if you need to review the articles before posting them then that technically beats the purpose of having guest bloggers. Of course then again if you know the person/blogger and consider their stuff to be top quality then I gather it would be alright and less time would be needed to review the post.
Also, this site/blog’s articles are great to read. True, it’s not updated as much as we would like it to be but when a post does happen we read it thoroughly. I feel that an occasional guest blogger would be good now and then but not all the time because of the reason of what really keeps me coming back to this site is the author and the excellent articles. It’s what really gives this blog/site a unique taste.
Thiago
I vote yes, becouse i think is best.
I dont speak english.
I am in Brazil.
Miiitch
I vote yes, but only after certain specifications are made – if the blogger isn’t going to match the quality standard that we’re used to at WDW, then we don’t want him or her. Perhaps their posts could be moderated before they go online? While writing quality content takes time, reading an article to see if it’s high enough quality doesn’t take as long.
RaphaelDDL
Miitch said everything.
kok hong
ermm, having bloggers to write would be nice provided the content is moderated to ensure its quality
dibtych
I think you should keep that blog as your thing. You do a great job and even if you are not posting frequently, your postings are on a heigh quality. You should keep WDW by your own with your style and your flair even in your writings.
Greets dibtych
marujo
i think it can be write by others, but you must moderate the level of contents/posts, to remain the high quality posts like yours. sorry for my english. im from brazil
Jerlyn Thomas
I don’t think you should. I have your blog in my RSS reader so when you update, I get it right away. I realized that when you do post something it’s exceptionally valuable, so I do not mind waiting for it. If you do decide to hire bloggers, they will have to be have as remarkable knowledge as you do.
I like the style/tone this is written in by you already and I fear the quality may not be as good if you have a guest blogger.
Adam Elleston
I don’t think you should pay people to blog here but offer people the chance to write posts. Why not let people who you have added as talented people the ability to add guest posts.
Jazz
I say no, don’t pay people. I subscribe to see what you have to say/show, If I want to see others, I subscribe to others.
For a filler, might be cool to post guest’s work or something – give them some exposure – like a guest feature of the day/week/month/whatever.
~jazzb – fellow Torontonian!
Elaine Simpson
I say no too. I’m here to read from you – I don’t mind waiting. I can go somewhere else if I want to read from someone else.
Daniel
An earnest yes! I’ve been considering removing it from my feed because of lack of posts.
Manu
I think it is allright you post in this way, so people beginner like me:) have time to assimilate.
Rafael Masoni
I disagree. I think this will make the blog lose it’s identity.
jeremy
no. better to have a few quality posts (like the ones you are producing, thanks), than to just write for the sake of numbers.
To me less is more.
You could possibly have the odd blog from someone else, but you dont want to compromise what you have created, or add the the increasing clutter on blogs these days.
I think consistency it more effective than sheer numbers. Thanks for your efforts
Robbi
Definitely yes. I’d like to see other people write, maybe once a month, but your own blogs to be the focal point. It’d be nice to have more blogs to do with web design itself.
Marianne
It’s a ‘no’ for me as I really enjoy the exeptional high quality of your posts. I rather have less posts of better quality. I imagine it to be quite tricky to find guest bloggers which can maintain the same standard.
Rob
It was a hard vote, but I think it’s a good idea, but only if they can stand out as much as you.
Given that you don’t have much time on your hands, get guest bloggers and review their posts before publishing them. That way you can have the “you” approval and stick with your style.
See how much they know. If you can get them to split the RSS feed so people can subscribe to just your posts, just their posts, or to everyone’s, that would be great.
Cluttering would be another prime concern. I’d like to see more posts, but not an overwhelming amount.
Eric
Maybe a guest writer every once in a while… But definitely be absolutely sure they spend just as much time preparing articles as you do.
NaldzGraphics
i go for no.its okey even if you post once or twice a week.
Ricky Catano
I think it’s a good idea. Like it’s been said: Don’t overwhelm the subscribers to your posts with posts that just won’t be you. You could always try it out though… Give him/her a probationary period. See what the feedback is like for a few posts. Then decide if you want to hire this individual. That would be a great idea, I think. And I’m not fit for the job :)
Cheezi
I say no. I like how this website is run, with quality posts and in time frames that don’t overwhelm its readers.
htl
It’s good if you don’t have enough time to write articles. I’ll still follow this site and read the articles you approve :)
Printer Capalaba
I think it is all about moderation, but I do agree that you are quiet infrequent in posting, so prehaps guest writters are a good idea. People are saying that than there won’t be quality posts, well thats hardly the case. All it requires is for you to screen what gets posted. If you don’t consider it a solid enough post than don’t allow it to be posted simple.
stuart lamour
Agree – its the quality not quantity. Your doing brilliantly without anyone else, keep up the good work.
Martin
I would love to see more frequent updates, but not at the cost of quality. Smashing just started posting a bunch of guest articles and they aren’t up to the standards I’ve come to expect, and seeing them on Smashing’s front page makes for a jarring experience.
Alex
I don’t think you should hire bloggers… it is your blog, keep it that way!
Mr B
Why you asking us? What do you want to do?
Personally, I know when you do post it is usually something of 1) quality and 2) that I am interested in. If you do get bloggers, quality and relevance would be the issue and if that can be guarenteed then I will need to ask myself – “Do I have the time to read all these extra posts?”
Abhisek
No. Quality will be a victim.
claire m
I would prefere to see good quality blogs that have been prepared, rather than other people writing. I think the quality would suffer a lot. I like it how there is one every now and again, gives me time to read it proparly and put the tips into practice.
You are a trusted source of information, so if someone else steps in, you might begin to loose that.
Fredrik
No, I think you are doing well enough, It is always a pleasure reading your tutorials and articles, in the future though it might be a overwhelming task. But if you could find someone similar with 100% sense of quality like yourself I won’t argue.
Stephanie
As much as I love your articles it would be interesting to form a collective of writings.
Mike_Jamaica
No! Your articles are excellent – well researched and written. Hiring others to increase the frequency of the posts may reduce the quality.
ellen
No, you’re doining great. I like your style and you shout keep it that way.
Chris
No, keep it as is Nick.
As many has told, your readers like the quality we found in your articles.
Now, about the people who claims for more content updates, well
IT’S TRUE you write a few times per month but
IT’S ALSO TRUE that WDW is not the unique source of high quality information on internet, there are more out there, not a lot, but there are (e.g. Veerle’s blog, ALA, ShaunInman, SitePoint …). They also don’t publish a lot and has their own style, so I have enough time to read them all among work/family/business hours.
Just remember … Good things come in small packages =)
mayhemstudios
I love your info. I would be great if you can post more often. I understand about running a business and taking the time to write, as I do the same.
A suggestion, maybe you can write a few articles in advance. Post them over time. That way, there will be more consistent articles being posted.
Keep up the good work.
Tom
I agree with Martin, the quality will suffer… assuming you hire on par designers/authors.
Pete
Quality over quantity always. I like what you write here and I know when there are new posts that they’ll be good, hiring bloggers is like Russian Roulette.
Porshen
I think you should hire another authors, but continue to decide which publication is to post or not. Granting posting access to others without pre-controlling what they intend to post is a right way to fill the blog with cross-post-links and a huge variety of stupid howtos. Kepp writing exellent tutorials and reviews! (Hello from Russia)
Tyler Morgan
I personally would love to see the volume of quantity go up, and I think it can be done without sacrificing quality. Just make sure you bring on the right people and that you stick to a solid quality control process.
gaston.alegre
Just keep doing what you do, is perfect this way.
Jin
I wouldn’t hire(as in pay) bloggers to post on your site. I think “guest bloggers” would be a good idea. It’s a win-win situation. Your site gets a lot of traffic, anyone guest posting here would be well rewarded from the exposure alone.
Elliott
I would like it as long as the bloggers are like you. As in the way they write etc. :D
ipei
adore your writing, Nick! no one can replace you, you have your own style.
Archants
I love your blog and it has so much personal touch. I personally don’t mind waiting for your next blog, because I know that all the articles you post are worth the wait. I prefer quality over quality. Well, yes, your hired Bloggers may do a good job, but it won’t be the same as how you do it, your personal touch is King.
Wish all the best for WDW! Cheers
Ken Nickless
I agree with Jin, high quality guest bloggers would be the way to go, blogging about the the type of content that has made your site so successful.
Min Thu
I think you can find a plenty of talented bloggers who can write quality contents for the benefits of readers. You may also feature some guest writers. That would be more interesting and fun!
Htoo Tay Zar
I think you should hire talented bloggers.. I hope you can find bloggers who can write awesome posts..
Randy Drilingas
There are a lot of sites pertaining to what you do. Yours is great because YOU do it. Keep it that way. The snifflers will just have to find similar blogs during your breaks. It shouldn’t take them long to realize why yours is so good.
Keep up the great work.
ruben
To stay on the same quality, get guest bloggers, but before posting you should inspect it and see whether the post meets your level, if not its done with that person and the post can go to the dustbin. Quality has always been on the higher priority than frequency on this website and we like it that way.
That doesn’t mean we don’t want other bloggers posting here, but that means that we don’t want to see the quality fall.
This website would be blessed if you can find some good bloggers. But the question is; IF you can’t find one. Because your kind of person is hard to find on the blogosphere.
zonaye
It shouldn’t take them long to realize why yours is so good.
very good..
Pedro Rodriguez
I agree with “Ruben”, quality over quantity. its ok if you dont post as often as long as your posts maintain thier high level of interesting content, freebis and design tutorial/tips.
keep up the good work =]
Francisco
I voted yes but I would say don’t go overboard. Quality over quantity for sure! I love your posts and the design of your blog is great!
-Francisco

stuart lamour
the other thing is – i have so many blogs i subscribe to already – i could do with all of them writing a little LESS frequently :) Fire not hire, that what i say.
Maria
I find your site so inspiring and I love the perfection behind it. I agree very much so with post comment #92, Archants, he/she put it best and I back this comment up 100%!
“I love your blog and it has so much personal touch. I personally don’t mind waiting for your next blog, because I know that all the articles you post are worth the wait. I prefer quality over quality. Well, yes, your hired Bloggers may do a good job, but it won’t be the same as how you do it, your personal touch is King.” ~ Archants, Comment #92
Cheers and I wish you the best of the best!
James Tryon
Thumbs up to more bloggers! :)
Sequnix
I think that Blogging itself isn’t capped to only one person. Though, It’s you work you share here… and nobody does that better than you. So I vote for no! :) If yes, I am applying for a poster (you got me on the msn list). GL!
Cypress
I have so much respect for you Nick and I love this site. Whenever you make a new post I know it’s full of content and no filler. So should you decide to get guest bloggers, I hope that they bring the same level of content you bring to each post.
liam
I think you should hire a blogger, but shouldn’t feel that you need to.
So just keep it in your mind, and when the time comes that you find someone that you think would be suitable then you should approach them. That way you know you’re getting someone who you are confident can fit in nicely.
I think if you open it up to applications then you’re going to make things difficult for yourself.
Jacob Lower
I think it’s not a good idea XD
U r goin great. One post per month is good ;)
Lova ya :***
Sophie
A bit late to join in the conversation but just wanted to say that I really appreciate that your content is always such high quality (much prefer this over quantity). It would be a real shame to lose that – maybe some really good guest posts on the odd occasion are the answer?
JanB
When the WDW Blog was started I was very optimistic about it. The entries of the first few month covered my interests – in case of jQuery it even expanded my interests.
For the last 6 month I see the quality and frequency falling… I think hiring guest bloggers would help.
james cowie
It all depends on of the posts are to be of a good quality. my blog at blog.jcowie.co.uk has only a few post like yours but they are good quality posts. its all quality vs quantity.
mohamed
I voted yes but I think you should follow strict measures choosing the blogger.
to make sure the blog is going in the same direction we all loved.
Shiltrey
Yes but please don’t hire a monkey. Keep the quality material! Are there any alter egos that you have that you can hire?
Andre Glegg
I voted yes, I’d also apply to be a blogger here
Juul
As long as you can see the authors name
Paul
I voted NO!.. its all about quality not quantity…. I absolutely love your site, its an amazing source of inspiration, tips and techniques and links… and that’s because its YOUR site, with YOUR content….. please don’t turn it into “just another site”
Kieran
I voted NO aswell. As Paul said, its about the quality, not the quantity :) keep up the good work!
www.singlewrench.com
No, I think it looks pretty good the way it is. Why mess with something that is working?
debra r
i voted yet… but i think also you should have stricted guidlines to follow what you have going on here. also, i think it should be pre-approved before hosting.
Samantha Sierra
This site is awesome! I’m sure it’s difficult to keep up with it while juggling multiple projects, but I’ve already explored every nook and cranny. I want more! As long as you have quality people you trust to continue your vision, I don’t see the problem.
Tegan
As long as their posts would make you proud to have them working on your site, I say yes. I trust your judgement, so as long as you see them as a positive contribution, I think it’s a wonderful idea. Keep up the good work!
Chidiebere Nnadi
Of Course Yes! Why NOt! ….
Jay
I think that is a great idea, but I don’t think you should pay. I believe they should just donate it for the cause, unless you are making a gross profit off of it. ++ It should be for highly qualified, popular people ;)
Hasan Saleem
Though the complaint about not posting more often is a valid one but I don’t think anyone would be able to keep up with the standards that you have set.
Just a thought.
Paul Tullberg
I just stumbled onto your site and have already recommended it to several of my artist friends, including my daughter. It is powerfully simple and creative. If you choose to hire bloggers, it may be helpful to keep their info in a secondary position so that the initial view remains entirely and captivatingly yours.
Mike Busch
I started reading this blog because I could see the passion that _you_ have for design. I’d rather see you post high quality work less frequently than to hire other writers to fill in the gap between your posts.
Danish
I read this blog because you’re a great pro and i respect your opinion. Why I should come here and read what somebody else think? This somebody should have his/her own blog and to gain the respect of the readers.
That’s what I think. Sorry if it’s rude but I read this blog because of Nick.
Edgar
No, there are plenty of blogs in the web. I come here to read your posts, if i want to read someone’s else i simply go somewhere else. I prefer quality vs quantity. PLEASE DON’T HIRE BLOGGERS FOR YOUR BLOG.
Tommy_Gun
Why not?! :)
Zaoris
I’m not really sure WDW needs to hire bloggers.
I suppose that would be a good idea but at the same time, I just like to read
this blog and consider who made it.
I say it should remain this way, maybe make a little more time for content.
Cheers
Vasili
Only if the articles stay as good as yours. :D
Steven Tew
I don’t think this is simply a case of providing more content, simply because there’s plenty of content available elsewhere on the web. It seems that the complaint is actually that YOU don’t write frequently enough. It’s YOUR opinions and insights that are bringing your readers back again and again so how will posting someone elses content address the problem of YOU not writing frequently enough?
JT
No, no!
In a world of pointless speed, it is just soo nice to have a “slow” site on the RSS reader… Please keep quality and forget about quantity. Absolutely.
Jethro Larson
Seriously. This is the best looking blog with mediocre content.
julio perdomo
Felicitaciones son muy valientes e inteligentes al hacer esta encuesta.
Congratulation! You are brave & smart, just do it!
Web Designer Perth
I agree with the last three comments. Since I discovered webdesignerwall I visit maybe once a week and generally speaking there’s something new. If not (at least for me, a relative noob) there’s still lots of older posts to read and comments to catch up on. Keep your _your_ good work. My vote is No.
Web Designer Perth
Soz – not the last three, the first three (and others who say no).
Cawley
I agree with Edgar – Nick, we love reading your posts and I hope we all understand what a busy chap you are. The posts are always worth waiting for and there are plenty of other blogs out there for those needing daily posts. Quality over quantity.
TheFrosty
Thought you might not write every day, I don’t feel it necessary. Your every so often entries are awesome! Too many, and what might happen?
BigK
Once or twice a week would be fine, IMO.
Mi
You have a beautiful website, amazing informative posts and personally I love the fact that when I come back here there is only one or two posts that I have missed reading. RSS readers doesn’t help here. There’s so much information in the internet and who has the time to read.
suciu vlad
it sounds like a great ideea, you should try a few weeks and see how it works :)
Syed Balkhi
No, you should not hire bloggers because I don’t know how many people can write as good as you can.
I would rather have 1 quality article a week rather than 7 crappy ones.
CMHB
Yes, I think you should introduce guest bloggers, however I would not encourage many of them, perhaps only a maximum of two, and you must ensure their blog posts are of an equal standard to yours, so you can’t be modest here Nick. WDW is such a great resource, and I , like many other do, visit here on a regular basis, and are on occasions disappointed there has not been any new blog posts. Of course it is understandable as you have mentioned above, but you have people in demand.
Zeytin
i voted YES :)
M. M. Rabie
You may also consider hiring non-English writers like Arabic coz we really need that.. you rock dude
Ming Zhu
No. I can see other guys’ opinions by viewing their blogs. What makes me come to your website is your attitudes and your perspective towards web design. Plus quality is more important than quantity.
Please think it twice. -mingz
Rene
i didnt voted… but you should at least post once per week… its a blog. Once-twice a month like now is way not enough for me to remember you blog. But your co ntent is quality tough. Just still do the same thing, but once every 1 week… and every same week day (let say every monday for exemple).
(ok, if it looks big to you, then start at every two weeks then, but not more!)
On the other hand, we are freelancers and daily blog are too fast for me, cant read every day all my fave sites….
So my answer is NO – dont hire… but YES – more post (from you!!)
thanks! Keep rocking our web and design!
Doug C.
Great idea. Hire me.
where are they now?
I think you should have sound boards and have people post topics popular topics and others be able to rank those topics high or low for people to add to that topic.
bob
well? whats the verdict?
Martin
Yes, I think you should hire a second (third) blogger but please make sure that the quality is equal to yours. I love your posts, I prefer the quality not the quantity ;-)
Brandon
Yep I think it’s a good idea to try out; You’ve got a great hub here and as long as you can maintain quality, an increase in the frequency of posts would be something that’s make me visit a lot more often. Plus, adding a bit more diversity is never a bad thing. I had a brief stint of experience with http://www.sproutwire.com where we recruited a variety of posters to write some content for us – now, we weren’t hiring them because the entire project was a volunteer driven – but the end result was that during the more active part of the project we were able to get lots of great content on a daily basis. The key to keeping readers was that all content was screened by an editor to ensure quality and relevance. Hope that helps :) MakeDesign,NotWar

I prefer individual’s blog sites, It’s more personable to regularly read a blog knowing that each post is written by the same person, and if you enjoy reading the blog and get some good knowledge from it, then you know your not gonna be disappointed when you return.
Then again, blogs only work when you can post regularly so if your in a position to get someone else on board, then it may not be a bad idea.
dolly
i definitely think you should hire bloggers. webdesignerwall is an awesome site but sadly it takes 1875234523589 years for an update. that’s sad. as for the quality, i’m sure you’d be able to filter out the “post-worthy”. n_n more power!
sujeet
I definitely think that the site should be updated.so sub sequently it’s become need for u to hire bloggers
sreeramanmg
Yup….
ODIN
I think If you want to write qualitative content, you should take your time, then when you publish it, we will appreciate what you’ve written that much more

Conclusion?
Lauren
The last thing I want to see is one of my favorite blogs being cluttered up with nonsense. We visit your blog because we value your experience and opinion. Those who are pushing for more content just for the sake of having something new to read should be redirected to any number of other web design blogs that happily focus on quantity before quality, there are far too many of those already.
Lauren
Look, in all honesty I think that what you’re currently writing is great. I don’t know if anyone else that you could bring in would do as good a job.
Asides from this, I think it is good that there is a bit of time to breathe between posts. I’m not sure about everyone else, but there’s more than enough information out there to digest.
Certainly a little time to breathe between gulps of information might be refreshing? (which is what we have currently) If not, there are lots of other blogs / resources that people can turn to.
Keep it as it is :)
Joanne
It would be great but after all, it’s the quality that counts and I think your doing a stunning job already! The articles are so useful, and for me they always inspire something new :)
Sam
For me, there are a gazillion sites on the Internet where I can get good content by other writers. I don’t care about more content. What I care about is who is presenting the content, the fact that they believe it valuable enough to spend their time putting together, and the experience behind the content. Low signal to noise ratio is great, but why not just avoid introducing the noise at all? =)
Arron
Absolutely! – I think it would serve to bring even more interesting and unique content to WebDesignerWall. I’m a blogger, I blog at razorianfly.com. Hire me? ;)
Bugra
Well, i voted for “yes” but i actually think that it’s not a must. Instead of hiring and pointless, amateur posts; people may send you their own articles/posts/works to publish if they are good enough or worth that.
Volunteer bloggers, volunteer posts, “pro” articles.
dave
I think that this blog should be set an example for many bloggers. Frequency is not the most important factor in modern blogging
Conrad Gorny
As long as the quality is there why not? The more the merrier

well that really depends on where you want this blog to go. I think that having other bloggers on this site that share the same passion and knowledge could be beneficial. However before considering paying or hiring others I am sure you have friends who could guest blog in the industry. That way you can see how ell the site is received with the additional bloggers
printers capalaba
I would say yes, just so long as you put guidelines in place and monitor the content.
Alexander the Great
I’d say no. We dont want people to just write stuff… we want intelligent stuff from the pro’s.
Elisa
I said no too. This site is an amazing source of interesting things for web designers.
If the content will be made by someone else, the quality will be lost.

Yes it would be nice to have more writers for the blog but it may mean more work than you have now. I would be for hiring bloggers so long as the quality of content remained the same or improved.
Sam Christy
Definately I think it would be great to see more content coming from webdesignerwall!
paluh
yeah it would be great to see more content here but, great content actually like it has at the moment other wise wouldn’t be nice to visit this site. thanks for the content you got, it’s really interesting. regards

One one side it would be great if people could contribute with the work you are doing on this site, but on the other, as far as they would keep with the content’s quality of this site that would be good then but, I mean, that’s not going to happen. New contributors might be as good as you are, or might not, but they won’t be the exactly same, and that’s for sure.
I suppose I wouldn’t know what to say, so it’s up to you

It all depends on of the posts are to be of a good quality. my blog at blog.jcowie.co.uk has only a few post like yours but they are good quality posts. its all quality vs quantity.
I.T MONTREAL
I think it always a great idea to hire a blogger for a web designer as long as the quality of the blogs as mentioned; is of good quality and informative. If it is just a rambling blog with no real sense of informatively and engages comment replies from readers then what is the point? But i definitely agree with 66 % of the people who voted on this poll, hiring a blogger for a web designer wall is a great idea.

White iPhone 4 was the best of the bunch, even though that photo also was a bit washed out.

I think I would rather wait for the quality content to come from you as its your style and take on things that makes the article of high quality. Delegating it down the line unless you get someone of real quality will undermine credibility over time. Of course, if you can review and approve anything before is put up then that puts in some quality control. Keep up the good work.
