Partigen Component Giveaways 773
It is time to give out free Flash components again! We're giving out 5 copies of Partigen from Flashloaded. Partigen is a real time Flash engine capable of creating realistic effects such as smoke and explosions. Every single particle is made within Flash at runtime with zero render time. Partigen includes the engine, the emitter and the particles, which are fully customizable at design and runtime. It is great for making particle, fire, snow, rain, bubble, and smoke effects (view Demos).
Just add a comment in this post before August 22, 2008 and you could win one of the five component giveaways (value $99).
Update: The contest is now closed and the winners are: 45, 234, 248, 387, and 711.
How To Win Your Free Copy?
- Post your comments about the Partigen component in this post (view Demos).

Looks like a nice component. A think a few of the effects in the demo looked alittle “cheap” but some of them looked really well. I liked the water effect and the swirly green magical effect in one of the dark forest images. Looked very usefull overall.
Looks like a great Flash component. Liked the waterfall effect, and seems like a good way to animate with less time and effort. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I like it, it doesn’t seem to be much heavy on the computer resources and being able to define the particle type instantiated is great. The locomotive chuf-chuf was cute indeed.
Looks pretty cool. I agree with Fredrik about the demo looking “cheap”. But suffice it to say, I can’t do anything like that in Flash. Haha.
really cool. I love the smoke effect on several specially the windmill
I’m a huge fan of the forest sparkle particle effects. This is the sort of thing that makes Flash fun!
Im not much on Flash designs, but these could come in handy when it comes to the small animations and “flare” to add to websites…
I like the fish bowl one the best.
Wow, it rocks! All of those effects are really great.
It’s amazing how realistic the animations look, the train and the winter houses are my favorites.
I think it could also be useful for animations in desktop aplications like interactive CDs, they would make a portfolio CD much more interesting.
I agree that the demo definitely didn’t do it justice. Effects on still photos just looks fake. I can see uses for some of those effects though… the firefly glow for one.
oh my
the smoke alpha mask is awesome!
really hard to do it.. hehe
greets ;)
This would be a very useful tool to use.
Wow! I’ve never heard of it, but it has the potential to be a really great tool, I think. I agree, too, that a few of them didn’t look quite as polished (leaves falling through the forest?) but done well, it could probably be amazing.
Pretty cool stuff. I’m not really into Flash much, but I’ll definitely show this to my flash-developing co-workers.
This rocks here is my comment i am working on designing my portfolio website right now. This would help alot
Definitely a great way to add some flare.
very cool effects! hope to win!
Great effects! I could think of a number of clients and projects that I could use these components. The effects really bring already brilliant photography to life!
