Frontend 2011 Conference Ticket Giveaway 107
The Frontend conference I spoke at last year is hosting again this year in Oslo, Norway between October 10-12th — Frontend 2011 (@frontend_conf). Unfortunately, I won't be attending this year. However, I have a free conference pass to giveaway. To enter the contest, all you have to do is write a comment about your thoughts on the event in this blog post. The contest ends on August 19th, 2011. Then a random winner will be drawn from the comment list.
How to enter?
- One entry per person. Duplicate comments will be voided.
- Comment entries will be accepted until August 19, 2011.
- One winner will be picked randomly. The winner will receive a conference ticket from the event organizer (Frontend 2011).
As a teacher in Web design in the secondary educational system in Sweden, I have little to no means to pay to attend such a necessary, educational and fun conference. It would greatly benefit my students, and me, of course. :-)
I also host a podcast, All In IT Radio, where we talk about everything IT related, which include web design. If I get to go to Frontend I would of course interview people, and publish it in our podcast, as well as on Hacker Public Radio.
Sounds a great conference and a big chance to attend it and learn a lot of things! And of course, a reason to visit Norway again… ;)
As a recent college graduate, to be given the chance to go to this festival would give me the best possible to opportunity to meet iconic front-developers / designers and help me to kick start my own career as a web designer.
I’d really love to attend the conference and have the chance to visit Oslo!
I would cherish the chance to attend such a brain fest.
Very cool, would be nice to go to a conference with some new speakers. I haven’t been to one in Europe.
It would be quite splendiferous if I were granted the opportunity to attend this fantastical conference!
Finally a conference close to where I live (Denmark)!
I think this year’s lineup is great — some really interesting people speaking. Even though not all subjects have been announced yet, it looks promising — would love to be given the chance to go.
Cheers,
Peter
Kinda expensive this event for a small agency like ours. Would love to hear out those speakers in Oslo.
Cheers
Recently graduated this May, and started work a month after in usability and front-end design. The line up of speakers would definitely jump start this new career thing.
As a (mostly) front-end web developer, a conference like this would be amazing! I was able to go to a development conference earlier this year and I learned so much that has been rapidly and positively applied to my work. Definitely worth it to go, especially over-seas!
I have been looking for a good frontend conference, so I would love to try it out. What a great opportunity!! I live nearby as well:-)
Would love to attend.
A chance to visit Norway AND attend a very cool conference? Yes, here, please :)
I’d love to attend! Thanks for the contest!
Great offer, thanks Nick!
This would be a great opportunity to learn a lot about what I’m doing all day and visiting a beautiful country :)
I’d love to attend, I also love travelling so it would be a nice excuse to visit Norway!
I just started web development this summer, and I had no idea how exciting html 5 and css3 were. Please let me attend this conference.
I’ve been working in web design for a very long time, but there is always something new to learn. This sounds so great! UT’s strapped IT budget has little money for conferences, so I’d appreciate a chance at this! Thanks for thinking of others.
