This is a wonderful opportunity for all, & one I couldn’t possibly pass up. I am a recent college graduate filling time with informational interviews, internships and research as I apply for job after job and cross my fingers for a chance to be exposed tothe intelligent creatives of today! My dream is to design independently, and FITC wouuld give me the “in” to do so.
Plus, this girl has never hit the West Coast.

Cheers to the chosen, whomever it is!

The FITC conference sounds awesome! I’d love to be able to go! I live and work in the Midwest, so attending one of these conferences is usually impossible unless it’s closer to home.

To be able to go to this would be one of the best learning experiences for someone relatively new to the design industry like me. It would be absolutely invaluable to be able to learn from professionals and network with them. I really would like to go and would even pay for it myself, but my starving college student budget doesn’t allow for such lavish expenditures such as these, even if this is the potential foot in the door I’ve been waiting for. Let me attend this event and rest assured that I will make the most of it.

i am a graphic designer from a small town in south georgia. there are very few of us in these parts! i never get to talk shop with other creative individuals and young professionals. aesthetics just aren’t that important to most business owners around here. you should see some of our local tv commercials… “if you have termites, call my daddy!!”
a trip to san fran and this expo would be amazing. finally, people like me… “so what is your favorite blending method?… are you as excited as i am about css3?? you have a I heart helvetica tattoo too???”

Hi there! I would LOVE love love to go to this event. I recently moved to SF for my “dream job” which turned out to not be so great after all. So, I resigned shortly after and opened my own design studio! I’m just now beginning to stand on my own two feet as a company and have hired my first part-time employee. I would love to stay on top of the industry, meet other creatives to work with, and get advice on the best ways to stay ahead and manage my business. The opportunities at this event are limitless! It’s currently out of my budget with all of the expenses of a new business, and I would really love your help getting there! :)

Hi! I always read WDS & always love the tutorials, thanks. I have worked grassroots nonprofit for the last 20 years. I believe strongly in capacity building and teaching my clients to be webmasters. There is no $ in this field for conferences & I really want to help myself and clients to get to the next level. See who/what I’ve taught (and a couple I have done) on my website–and where this ticket and FITC could help me go! I am also happy to make tutorials for WDW (I’m great with easy/grassroots tutorials). ;-)

I’m taking this cautious and serious action to win a precious opportunity of a wonderful interactive global study, which I’ve been dreaming of for 5 years.I know it’s much more important to me because the lucky star is shinning in your hands.

I have been diligently teaching XHTML and CSS-based web design to the next generation of designers at a small school in PA. I haven’t had the opportunity to get to any Web Design Conferences as I don’t have much time or the funds. I feel that if given the opportunity to attend, not only will it help me better understand the next wave of technology, like HTML 5 and CSS 3, but I can pass on that knowledge and improve more lives through teaching.

Whether I am selected or not, I wanted to say “thank you” for you blog and your design, I use it as an example when teaching class.

I just received an e-mail from the FITC Marketing Coordinator saying I was being given a free pass to the event from WDW. I cannot thank you enough! This is going to be fantastic and I can only imagine the boost this will give my new company. Thank you!!

Greetings from Florida! I’m bored to tears at work so I decided to browse your website on my iphone during lunch break. I really like the information you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded on my cell phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyhow, great blog!
