I have two last-minute meshU tickets to giveaway. Submit a comment in this post before Apr 1, 2009 for a chance to get a free ticket. MeshU is a one-day event of workshops on design, development, and management that will take place in Toronto, April 6th, 2009. Although I’ve never been to the meshU before, but the speaker/workshop list sounds very interesting. If you want to purchase the event tickets, it is not too late yet. Head over to the meshU website for more details.

Update: This contest is closed and the winners are: 34 and 65.

How to get a free ticket?

  • Post a comment in this post stating why you want to go.
  • One entry per person. Duplicate comments will be voided and deleted.
  • Winners will be contacted by email (so make sure your email address is correct).

Comment entries will be accepted until Apr 1, 2009. Then two winning numbers will be generated randomly from the comment list. Two winners will receive a free ticket to the meshU event.

I will likely add everyone I come in contact with to my LinkedIn profile :-)

Truthfully, though, this would be such a beautiful experience and a great inspiration to begin my freelance endeavor.

Keep up the great blog and design resource~

Oh, wow … I’m a 1st year design student in the York/Sheridan program in design, and I’ve never had the opportunity to go to a workshop like this, although I’ve heard lots about them. Being able to go to one and expand my learning into areas that aren’t taught typically in design school could really expand my horizons. I’d love to be able to go :)

Wow this would be amazing. I was able to get a ticket for the conference but when I went to get a (student) ticket for Mesh U they were all out.. I hope I win this. I think the Workshops would be even more educational then some of the speakers they have for the 2 day conference.

Thanks for the opportunity! And hopefully I’ll see you there.

I’m just getting out of school and have a passion for web design. Getting out means no money, so I can’t afford something like this, but I feel it’ll give me the motivation I need for getting out there.

I do contract web dev and am always looking to brush up my skills. The dev part of the conference seems pretty interesting. I’d love to hear the talk by the guy from github, but all of the dev really good. Would benefit anyone who went who was interested in web dev.

So I graduated from college last June, and ended up getting a job for a corporation as their web designer. As far as being able to spread my creative wings, it’s pretty much non-existent for me nowadays. So, I’m always looking for some sort of creative outlet, just a break from designing sites for credit card terminals.

What an ingenious idea – contest via blog.
I would definitely love to go as I have a keen interest in web design and am currently moving my career path towards it. I also have started to design & develop web sites for small companies and believe this would be a great chance for me to brush up on skills and certainly learn new ones!

That’s quite an interesting speaker list, it should be a great event.

I’d like to attend simply because the topics are ones that I’m very interested in and I know the workshops will benefit me greatly. Plus I plan on attending either way, so it would be nice to do so without any financial burden.

I would love to go!

Currently my work has been uninspired and the work-place environment stifling. I could use a day to mingle with like minded people, and being away from the office for a day is always welcome!! This would do a great deal to put a couple good large chunks out of those mental blocks.

For me it would be a great opportunity to learn new things at the workshops. I’ve been looking into meshu for a while and if I don’t get this ticket I’ll probably figure out another way to attend.
It seems like a great event and the Mesh Conference itself sounds dope.

Long time reading and a first time commenter throwing my name into the hat.
I’d love an opportunity to meet and talk with some of the local designers in Toronto. Never had the funds to attend a conference but what a great way to start off in my hometown.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for the contest Nick.
