Free FITC Tickets (Round 2) 79
This is Round 2 of the FITC ticket draw. Again, WDW is giving out two tickets to the FITC conference that will take place in Toronto between April 25 - 28, 2009. Visit their website for event information and presentation details. I also want to remind the female readers that you can get a free ticket by submitting a video to FITC explaining why you want to attend the event (deadline is March 27, 2009). If you are buying tickets, enter coupon code "webdesignerwall" to get a 20% discount.
Update: This contest is closed and the winners are: 2 and 9.
How to get a free ticket from WDW?
- Post a comment in this post stating why you want to go.
- One entry per person. Duplicate comments will be voided and deleted.
- Winners will be contacted by email (so make sure your email address is correct).
Comment entries will be accepted until March 24, 2009 for round 1. Then two winning numbers will be generated randomly from the comment list. Two winners will receive a free ticket to FITC Toronto 2009.
Note: After this round, WDW will do another round to give out the last two tickets.
I’m a flash developer in TO and would love a chance to see whats new in the flash world and meet some fellow developers.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I would want to go because I read a ton of blogs a day and read at least a few ton of twitters a day for inspiration.
However I would say that it doesn’t compare to seeing the people you’re reading about in person.
FITC Toronto would be a fresh breath of inspiration into my work.
I want to go because I run a web design studio and need more inspirations!
I’m going to try reverse psychology:
I don’t want to win tickets to FITC. It’s a stupid conference anyways. I don’t need inspiration. I have a boring corporate design job. That’s good enough for me.
I work for BC Children’s Hospital and am developing an online education and community support network for children with chronic disease such as inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, mental health diseases and rheumatoid arthritis. Attending FITC would give me a breath of inspiration and allow me to connect with people who could lend their knowledge and expertise. It would be of great benefit to the project.
I’m a front-end/back-end developer and a computer science student i’m really looking forward attending such event to see how the industry goes around me and for networking also
I’m a web developer/designer/freelancer that always gets inspired at shows like this – and I’m always open for more things to inspire me. Plus, I’m just down the road (okay, highway) from Toronto.
I need a good reason to take off from work for a couple days and get away from the city grind! AH!
I would absolutely love to go. I keep looking at these events with such hope, though the main concern is primarily monetary; it’s awful expensive to fly out to these other cities for their conferences, and the Toronto ones do cost a pretty penny to get into. Really interested in some of these presentations — think of what you could learn!
Hi there,
The reason is simple: my main passion is graphic design and illustration. I work on a lot of different projects and want to be a part of a great event such as FITC.
Inspiration, knowledge, networking and the general admiration for what the top of Digital Media World has to offer is what I want to gain from attending the conference.
It will be a amazing opportunity to be picked for the giveaway above.
Best of luck to everyone who applies and thank you for the consideration.
From all the previous posts, Obviously for the ladies.
I want to go to FITC because I’ve been disassembled by the design industry. Told I wasn’t a designer, wasn’t an illustrator, and should run away from interactive. Putting myself back together, I learned that I belong in design, and it’s ok to be a creative swiss army knife. I’m just finishing my diploma in graphic design, and I think I need the FITC to inspire and assure me in my decisions about the industry.
Everybody needs an excuse to get drunk in Toronto
Also, learning some design stuff would be helpful
I would love to go :) Let’s hope the second time is the trick!

I am a Toronto based flash designer and developer with dreams of being a Flash Goddess when I grow up… going to FITC would be one more step towards my goal!
I’ve taken a recent interest in Flex development, and started to build my first enterprise RIA. I wish to attend this conference to learn more about actionscript from a practical use case stand point, as well as meet professionals in the field. I think that it would be a great opportunity to share my programming background with others that are just as passionate as I am about their work. I hope this randomizer picks me!! WOOOO!!!
to fuel me From Inspiration To Creation.
I’ve been seeing a lot of nice Flex applications lately that has really piqued my interest. Would like to attend FITC to get my feet wet with Flex.
gimme gimme gimme!
Hi, I would like to go since I’m currently a coop student working as a web developer. I would like to take this chance to enhance my graphics/web development skills.
